In the sugya at the beginning of Klal Gadol, Tos' raises the question: must we formulate the warning (Has'ra'ah) on the Toldah in terms of its Av. In this shiur which is the second in a series entitles Intro to Avaot V'toladot, (see last Dec. for Part I), we will analyze the premise of Tos' that it is not sufficient to warn him "do not violate Melechet Shabbat", but the warning must spell out the particular Av Melocha being violated. We will see that the Rambam disagrees, and we will try to suggest that the controversy touches on the very fundamental issue of the Lo Ta'Aseh of Shabbos. This will bear on the case of a violation of two Avot & the two Chataot. We will begin our analysis of the definition of a Tolada to be completed next Sunday
