Description

In the Mishna's list of melachot, some require a specific intent, while others do not. Tos' vacillates regarding the Melacha of Matir: is it sufficient to remove a knot to violate this melacha, or must one have the intent of tieing another knot, just as one who rips a garment must intend to sew in its place, and one who destroys a structure must have in mind to rebuild it. This shiur we be dedicated to defining Melechet Matir & to the investigation into the category of Melechot which are Siluk, i.e. their purpose is to undo a melacha that was done previously.
