Description

Packets from Rav Mottel Zilber, pages 26-28. Learning all day does not mean a person should neglect other parts of life. In Lithuania, there developed the notion of learning all day. Chassidus is against the distinction between learners and non-learners as separate classes. Chassidus believes that the job of a Jew is to raise the sparks of creation. This is not exclusive to the Beis Medrish. The fallen sparks are everywhere. In prayer, learning, working, forests, etc. Wherever a person is placed by God, the job demands of him to raise up the world. There is no such thing as a lechatchila or bidieved life. A Jew's life and purpose, wherever it is, is always lichatchila. Bidieved does not exist in chassidus. This is what the Besht taught.
