Within the framework of our series on Mitzvot Bein Adam Lechaveiro, we will discuss Shalom Bayit, specifically the resolving of marital conflicts via loving confrontation. Our basic thesis is that given that conflict is natural and even built in to the very fabric of marriage, as the verse says "Ezer Kenegdo" (male and female are different personalities), we can only face these challenges and conflicts if we are constantly aware of the mitzva of Veahavta LeReacha as it applies to one's spouse. The goal then of these shiurim is the goal of all Mussar: to add continuous Chizzuk & Mussar to our daily lives; to become more sensitive, loving & caring individuals always selflessly trying to help the other, to tend to the needs of our spouse.
