Pages 67-73. One of the names of God is the 42 letter name. Knowing and understanding this name on each persons level is important, because it is the foundation of all creation. There are 42 words in the Ana B'Koach prayer, corresponding to the 42 letter name. Therefore the prayer is called "the name of 42." The name is not just a bunch of letters, but is filled with depth and meaning. This name is also alluded to in the act of creation. Therefore there is a special relationship between Ana B'Koach and Creation. The trait of Gevura is the root of creation, a constriction of the Infinite Light of God. The names that are rooted in this trait are of importance to creation and Ana b'Koach.
