Description
Rav Mottel Zilber packet, pages 18-19. What does it mean to love another Jew? It is generally understood that the last generation is a very low generation and the tests are scaled to that. However, chassidus reveals the opposite. The lower down a person goes, the more trust God has in them to withstand any trial. It is a sign of the person's greatness. The Jewish soul is exalted and its greatness shines, especially in the last generation. The choice remains within to reveal or hide that greatness. However, through any trial or shortcoming, a Jew's soul stays connected to God. This exalted level is the root of Ahavas Yisrael. Finding good points in Jews reminds us of a Jews true nature, to be good. We must believe that other Jews are good.
