Whereas Rashi in Beitza 30b indicates that Rebby Shimon accepts the Principle of Migu DeItkatzei, the Ritva and the Rivash maintain that Rebby Shimon denies Migu. In this shiur we will offer two approaches to the opinion of Rebby Shimon, and two different ways of explaining the machlokes between Rebby Shimon and Rebby Yehuda. We analyze the repercussions of these various definitions especially regarding two major concepts in Muktza Machmas Issur: Yoshev UMetzape, and Tenai.
