Description

If the husband or wife have more than one name, which names must be written in a Get? In what situations is it sufficient to write only one name? What defines a Shem Ikkar & what defines a Shem Tafel? Can a Get be kosher if only the Shem Tafel is written in the Get? We will address rare cases such as one name in the city in which the Get is being written & another name in the city in which the Get is being delivered to the wife; the case of a Jew who converted and is known only by his non-Jewish name; the case of a name that is only used for signing on documents; the name that is used for an Aliya LaTorah; a name that is not used but is public knowledge.
