Chapter 4. Rabbi Charlop speaks about Teshuva. When a Jew sins, it is only a cry to be close to Hashem. As Rebbe Nachman explains, he distances himself in order to come close. However, when the nations of the world sin, the nature is different. They fear, therefore they run away. A Jew runs away only because he does not yet know how to come close. This generation, awakening a return to the Land of Israel is teshuva for the sin of the spies of being disgraced by the land. Eventually, this generation will arouse the previous generation to repent and return in all the ways, to the land and to Torah.
