We will study Rav Chaim Shmulevitz's Sichot Mussar for both Parshat Toldot & Parshat Vayeitzei. For Toldot we will look at the destructive influence of LeTzanut. For Vayeitzei we will study the profile of the complex personality who is torn by two polar forces, light and darkness, forces within his very being, and the dangerous character that emerges. Who is Elifaz, son of Esau and grandson of Yitzchok. Why does Amalek descend from Elifaz? How can the Torah when distorted, become a force of evil, a toxic drug?
