Description

Recent events have unfortunately demonstrated that, as in the past, Israel remains a target for terrorism and continually needs to be on the cutting edge of disaster preparedness. Indeed, Israel has become the world leader in disaster and emergency preparedness with lessons learned that have saved lives throughout the world, including many victims of the Boston Marathon and the Haiti Earthquake. This plenary will detail the ethical issues encountered in these unthinkable scenarios, the heroic measures made possible by Israel, and the religious imperative of Jewish outreach.
