The mishna in Masechet Makkot 3a addresses the case of Eidim Zomemim that testified against the borrower to the effect that he must pay his loan now rather that ten years down the line. How do we evaluate the loss incurred by the borrower since in any event - regardless of the testimony of the witnesses - he must pay back the loan?
