Bar Pada derives the law of Ben Gerusha in Eidim Zomemim from a Kal VaChomer. We will address the following question: Does Bar Pada reject the derivation of R' Yehoshua ben Levy of "Lo VeLo Lezaro"? If so, why? The balance of the shiur will analyze the Kal Vachomer and Ravina's rejection of the underlying logic of the K"V which seems to undermine the fundamental operating principle of Kaasher Zamam, the lo ka'asher asa.
