Description

We will study the Rambam and Raved in Hilchot Issurei Biah, 18:9, the case of a woman married to a Kohen who declares that she had a relationship which prohibits her to remain married to her husband. Although she is not believed to undermine her marriage relatioship, the Ramban establishes that following the death of her husband she can no longer marry a Kohen because of her declaration. The Raavid raises the question: why shouldn't she believed with an Amasla, an explanation as to why she made that false declaration?
