Description

LaSheves is a chumra by adding a third condition to the mitzva of P"R, i.e. Biah & leida are not sufficient, we need Kiyum HaBanim as well (acc to the Rambam); or Sheves as an independent mitzva (acc to the Tur in R' Yochanon), meaning that although he has fulfilled P"R with his son & daughter, yet Sheves requires dedicating himself to having children who can propagate and generate Yishuv HaOlam. We will further clarify the machlokes re: children as a non-Jew. Finally, we will define LaErev as an extension of P"R permitting the sale of a Sefer Torah; whereas an orphan girl is either excluded from Sheves (Rambam) or obtains a fulfillment which is independent of P"R and as such lacks the power of a Mitzva Raba to permit the sale of a S"T.
