Description

We will study the sugya in Psachim 108b regarding the Mitzva of the Four Cups of Wine, and address the following questions: what if he drank undiluted wine, has he fulfilled the mitzva of four cups? Whereas the Rashbam and Ran understand that he is lacking the perfection of the mitzva, the Rambam understands that he has forfeited one of two kiyumim of the mitzva, namely, the kiyum of Derech Cheirus. Second, we will adress the question of one who drank his 4 cups of diluted wine, but he drank them consecutively rather than in the specific order of brachot as required. Although he has obtained the kiyum of Derech Cheirus, he is lacking the kiyum of four Kosos shel Bracha.
