Description

In this shiur we will study the first Mishna in the last Chapter of Masechet Psachim, and we will define the purpose and scope of the Takana prohibiting eating after 3pm on Erev Pesach. What is "samuch leMincha"? What are we enjoined from eating on Erev Pesach and why? Wouldn't we be enjoined from eating on Erev Pesach by virtue of the Yerushalmi that compares one who eats Matzah on Erev Pesach to a couple that engage in intimate relations before the Chuppa took place. We will try to shed a light on the nature of this analogy of the Yerushalmi.
