In the case of an unusual form of benefit he doesn't get malkos, but does he violate the Issur Hana'ah? Is this a violation of a Deoraita or a derabanan? In this shiur we will investigate three opinions regarding the status of an unusual form of benefit. The Magid Mishna's understanding of the shitat haRambam will be studied carefully, and will lead to a three-part categorization of Shelo Kederech Hanason. At the very end of the shiur we will discuss the relationship between Parshat Veyechi and the concept that "silence is golden".
