      Dear Rabbi Schachter,

      All along I was proud of YU to have the motto of Torah U Mada. I believe to best understand the Torah and keep kosher a Jew should read on the natural history of pork, beef, and fish tapeworms. I have written a chapter on this subject in Biopsies of the Bible available on Amazon.com. The chapter includes the natural history of this family of parasites in a very simple language plus relevant references.

      How does one measure for Miut Hamatzui? For example if one out of every fifty peanuts is infested, and someone should want to eat one does he need to check? What if he wants to eat five (which would be equal to one out of ten)?
