Description

We will look at the sugya of "bitlo ve'lo bitlo" according to Rashi & the Ritva; the sugya of viduy and its relationship to Teshuva and kapara; the gerut of a katan without "kabalat ol mitzvot'; the "claim" of the plaintiff and the explanation of the basis for the claim; and the sugya of shatnez in terms of levisha and hana'ah. In all cases we are working to define the nature of an "accidental" din or action, one that plays a secondary role. It may be a "tosefet kiyum", i.e. an add-on, or a mechanical requirement, or an independent Halachik entity of its own ; or an external condition.
