Description

We begin our study of Parshat Vayetze with the insights of the Ramban on the episode of the stones of Yaakov. We will see the Medrash which teaches us how to reconcile the discrepancy between many stones (twelve in number) or one single stone. We will see that our parsha introduces the creation of Klal Yisrael as one entity. In the latter part of the shiur, we will study the episode of the stones of the Dor HaHaflaga. We will study the true definition of the concept of Unity. One of the key concepts with regard to Kedusha is "hachana", preparation. As we will see, there is a principle of "ze le'umat zeh", namely, that one can use his energies for sanctity, or, heaven forbid, for the opposite.
