We begin this shiur with a summary of the Machloket between Chachamim & Rebby Yehudah regarding Gezeirot Derabanan. The case of Issur Chadash sets the overall pattern for Shitas Chachamim who will institute a gezeira even when bedili minay. The exception is Bedikat Chametz for a very specific reason. Rebby Yehudah will hesitate to institute a gezeira unless it is like Chametz, lo bedili minay. The latter part of the shiur will offer an introduction to the Mishna of Chometz Derabanan on the 14th of Nisan before the 7th hour. We will look at the chiddush of the Brisker Rav to distinguish between the 5th & 6th hours according to Rebby Yehudah.
