Description

Rashi explains that the issur chometz of the 5th & 6th hours on the 14th, the issur derabanan, can only be understood if there exists an issur chometz deoraita on the 14th. If the deoraita begins on the night of the 15th, there would be no confusion as to the time that begins the issur chametz since it is clear to everyone that day is day & night is night. In this shiur we will study the question from whence do we derive the Issur Chametz on the 14th of Nissan? We begin with Abaye, continue with Rebby Yishmael, and end with Rav Nachman. Other opinions will require another shiur.
