We find four different approaches in the Rishonim regarding this sugya. What is the issue, is it bedika, achila, bittul, or a combination thereof? In this shiur we will study these four interpretations and try to understand why Tos' rejected Rashi's understanding that the issue is bedikat chametz. Why would there be a rule of safek lechumra regarding bedikat chametz, which is presumably a mitzva derabanan?
