Description

In this shiur we will study Pirkai Avot, Perek II, Mishna 1, the Mishna in which Rebby Yehuda HaNasi teaches us how to choose Middot & how to do Mitzvot. The Rambam's principle of the golden mean as it applies to our behavior will be introduced. We will look at the Rambam's unique approach to the sin of Moshe Rabbenu in Parashat Chukat. we will raise the question: can we categorize Mitzvot Aseh as either Kallot or Chamurot? Three different opinions of the Rishonim on this issue will be elucidated.
