Description

When a bird is found outside the 50 Amot radius between two coupes, the Mishna establishes that the bird is returned to the closest coop, applying the principle of Karov. According to Rebby Chanina we must assume that this Mishna is addressing a case where there is no Rov. The two coupes have an equal bird population. No other coops besides these two are candidates because the birds were found on a pathway through a vineyard. This shiur is dedicated to explain the give and take of the Gemora and explain its logical sequence.
