Description

Tos' Rid defines the conditions for the obligation of Egla Arufa, and establishes two dimensions to the Halacha of Karov: as a Birur and as a Din. On the one hand, Karov tells us that the killer came from the proximate city; on the other hand, Karov serves as a separate Din. Therefore the city which is Rechoka, even though the killer came from that city, will not bring the Egla Arufa. It does not have a Din Karov.
