Description

The גזירה of רפואה even includes methods of healing that don't involve herbs. A חולה may eat מאכל בריאים. A person may give an herbal remedy to his animal. There is a מראית עין-like concern in this גזירה. This גזירה applies on Yom Tov. Reason to assume this גזירה was only addressed to בריאים.
