In this shiur we will explain the first set of "Ta Shma"s that are presented as proofs against Rava on 18a. The focus will be on Rashi & Tos', which we have not been able to do in the daily shiur in Yeshiva. Rashi's explanation of the Gemora's answer - in defense of Rava - "Dira Sha'ani" will be of central interest. In the next shiur in our Weds. night series, we hope to cover the challenging Gemora on the second half of 18a.
