The Steipler before this meeting stayed up all night learning, planning to catch up on his sleep on the long train journey to this meeting. After being introduced to each other, the Steipler fell asleep straight away, to the horror of the young woman. What had occurred was that on the train there were padded seats and the Steipler was worried that they might be shaatnez and therefore stood up and remained awake for the entire journey and thus arrived very tired!
