Shiur 10 in series. Machshava shiur for semicha students. First on Olam Haba. In this shiur we first address whether a person should study the topic of olam haba. A number of objections may be raised to the study of this matter. Firstly, we can’t understand it. Moreover, Judaism is not an “otherworldly religion.” Then we show how olam haba is not external reward but a natural outgrowth of doing what’s right. Finally we discuss the difference between gan eden and olam haba according to Ramban.
