We will study Tosfot on the word ד"ה לפיכך and compare his comments to those of other Rishonim. The main question we will focus on is this: what happens in a confrontation between two forces, "muchzakus" (possession), and "safek" (doubt)? Can the court remove Reuvain's possession of the stones for the sake of "safek" in order to guarantee Shimon's rights?
