In this shiur we will analyze the “Mega” Chiddush of HaRav Isser Zalman Meltzer. The Rosh Yeshiva of Eitz Chaim examines the nature of HeZek Reiah and finds two different streams of thought. One is that of the Rambam who views this as a classic Nezikin issues. The other is that of the Raavad, who defines Hezek Reiah in a new way, different than classical Nezikin. Many disputes between the Rambam and the Raavad in Hilchot Shechenim fit into place.
