I read of an incident where a boy davened the amidah very slowly directly behind one of our Gedolim. As a result, this Gadol had to wait until the boy finished his amidah before he could step backwards. The boy’s father, who was present in the Shul, went afterwards and apologised to the Gadol. The latter however replied that it was wonderful to see a boy davening like that.
