Wrapping up the fifth perek, with Amos's apparent declaration that the Jews did not bring korbanot in the midbar, and then tackling the sixth perek - in which Amos attacks the leadership, warns of punishment and reminds them again of the basic need for justice. Of particular note is his assault on the Jews' korbanot.
