After learning, and at a siyum, we say, ״מוֹדֶה אֲנִי לְפָנֶיךָ ה׳ אֱלֹהַי שֶׁשַּׂמְתָּ חֶלְקִי מִיּוֹשְׁבֵי בֵּית הַמִּדְרָשׁ וְלֹא שַׂמְתָּ חֶלְקִי מִיּוֹשְׁבֵי קְרָנוֹת.״. Isn’t that redundant? If we are among the יושבי בית המדרש, then clearly we are not יושבי קרנות! What, then, are we really thanking Hashem for?
