Description
This memorial of Rav Kook delivered on his Yahrtzeit, is a rare encompassing and detailed summary of his personality and thought, and why his writings are so popular today (and the tragedy of the fact that he is not taught outside of Israel). The class deals with the famous question: How do we know who's right (among all the streams of thought in orthodox Judaism)? (The class is in a purposely easy and understandable Hebrew- except for a 2 minute quote from a graphologist who analyzed Rav Kook's handwriting!). The class also deals with the interesting question: is Rav Kook a "passing fad" or is it "here to stay" in the Torah world, also 200 years from now?
