Using Musical Instruments During Davening should have been an open/shut case: it's the way we sang to G-d in the Temple, and therefore why not in shul. Even after the destruction of the Temple the custom [as recorded in the Code of Jewish law) is to allow it לדבר מצווה/for a Mitzva. And yet....
