Description

טוֹב לָשֶׁבֶת עַל פִּנַּת גָּג מֵאֵשֶׁת מִדְיָנִים וּבֵית חָבֶר: This morning (2/15/22), in our Morning Mishlei shiur, we continued with the sugya we've been learning since Thursday. After reviewing the approaches we've gained so far, we flipped to Mishlei 25:24, which is a verbatim repetition of 21:9, with the goal of understanding what that repetition adds. We began by going over some basic ideas on the pesukim in the surrounding context (25:21-23 and 25:25-26) and then attempted to learn our pasuk in that light. We came up with a few approaches, TRIED to understand what the Malbim was getting at, and poked around at the slim pickings that the other meforshim gave us. Did we arrive at a satisfactory answer? No. But the REAL gain was the non-contentious friendship we made along the way. https://rabbischneeweiss.substack.com/
