כֹּפֶר לַצַּדִּיק רָשָׁע וְתַחַת יְשָׁרִים בּוֹגֵד: This morning (2/9/22), in our Morning Mishlei shiur, we spent one more day on our pasuk. First we revisited Saadia Gaon's explanation. Yesterday we were troubled by it, but today we came up with two approaches for understanding it. Next, we tackled the approach we encountered in Metzudas David, which we saw was taken by the vast majority of meforshim. We had difficulty with this, but managed to come up with at least one approach. Lastly, we read the Malbim's explanation and tried to come up with an approach based on that.
