כֹּפֶר לַצַּדִּיק רָשָׁע וְתַחַת יְשָׁרִים בּוֹגֵד: This morning (2/8/22), in our Morning Mishlei shiur, we continued our analysis of yesterday's pasuk. After our review of yesterday, I summarized the definitions of the key terms, as we've developed them in our Monday NIGHT Mishlei shiur. We were hoping that this would lead to a new interpretation here. It didn't. We also tried to come up with an idea for Saadia Gaon, then consulted his actual commentary. When that didn't pan out, we learned Metzudas David's approach, which raised a host of problems. Ultimately, we gained a lot in terms of methodology, but we didn't arrive at any new explanations.
