This drasha explores the Torah’s statement that “Hashem blessed Avraham with everything,” showing that “kol” can mean many things - children, legacy, wisdom, moral influence, or the power to uplift others. By examining the seven interpretations in the Gemara, it argues that Avraham’s true blessing emerges not in moments of comfort but in moments of loss, when he recognizes the fullness of his life and recommits to shaping the future. This capacity to see blessing even in darkness is the spiritual inheritance of the Jewish people. Like Avraham, we rise after sorrow, transform struggle into purpose, and continue to bless the world - ensuring not only our survival, but our enduring mission.
