Description

We introduced the inyan of passion in avodas Hashem with the story of The Baal Shem Tov about the Shul full of tefilos. Then we opened with The Sfas Emes who taught Avrahams love and Yitzchaks Fear were too intense to have lastingness in this world, Klal Yisrael had to be based on the balance of Yaakov Avinu. We continued with the Maor VaShemesh who taught that healthy spiritual development begins with boundaries and acceptance of repercussions and is followed by love and passion. A 3rd yesod we said from The Beis Yaakov and The Kedushas Levi was that the Torah actually does not record "tefillah" by Yitzchak, his relationship with Hashem was one of complete acceptance and that Yitzchaks selflessness completes Avrahams love. The we got to the ikar yesod from the Tiferes Shlomo that the love and passion that we put into our mitzvos is the flavor which makes it beloved to Hashem. We added from the Ropshitzer thought that sometimes you do have to fake it. We ended with the beautful vort of the Maor Vashemes that when we're really on fire with wholehearted tefillah Esav is powerless over us.
