בַּעֲנׇשׁ לֵץ יֶחְכַּם פֶּתִי וּבְהַשְׂכִּיל לְחָכָם יִקַּח דָּעַת: This morning (12/8/21) we continued learning yesterday's pasuk about how the pesi learns. After refining yesterday's approach, we learned the derech nigleh explanation given by the Meiri, followed by Rabbeinu Yonah, which also led us to his commentary on the very similar 19:25. We intend to spend one more day on this pasuk. Note: The shiur begins with me presenting a Chanukah gift to the dorm guys. The gift was the book "Humans," by Brandon Stanton (a.k.a. the Humans of New York guy). I decided to include it in the shiur because it's related to Mishlei.
