This morning (9/22/25), in our Morning Mishlei shiur, we began a new chapter AND a whole new section of Mishlei! After briefly getting the peshat of the introductory 25:1, we analyzed 25:2, which is stylistically different from most of the Mishlei we've learned over the past 4+ years (as will be the case for the remainder of the sefer). We came up with a few half-baked approaches, one of which was solid. I shared my own intuition which ended up being supported by Metzudas David, and the other solid approach was similar to what the Ralbag said. I'm curious to see what we find in the other meforshim, but we'll have to wait until after Rosh ha'Shanah for that. https://rabbischneeweiss.substack.com/
