How can we CONTINUE to say things the below when we have a state of Israel? הָעִיר הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְהַמְּחוֹזוֹת, הָיוּ לְחֶרְפָּה וּלְבִזּוֹת, וְכָל מַחֲמַדֶּיהָ טְבוּעוֹת וּגְנוּזוֹת, וְאֵין שִׁיּוּר רַק הַתּוֹרָה הַזֹּאת The Holy city and the suburbs have become a disgrace and been looted and her treasures have been buried and hidden and there is nothing left but this Torah אֶזְכְּרָה אֱלֹהִים וְאֶהֱמָיָה, בִּרְאוֹתִי כָּל עִיר עַל תִּלָּהּ בְּנוּיָה , וְעִיר הָאֱלֹהִים מֻשְׁפֶּלֶת עַד שְׁאוֹל תַּחְתִּיָּה, I shall remember G-d and I shall moan, when I see very city built on its hilltop, WHILE the city of G-d is degraded to the nethermost depth
