Description

This drasha explores the Torah’s approach to fear and responsibility in war, showing how Chazal distinguish between optional wars, where exemptions apply, and defensive wars, where no one is exempt - not even a groom from his wedding canopy. Drawing on both text and lived experience, it argues that in moments when Am Yisrael’s survival is at stake, every Jew must share the burden, for our collective courage and unity are what sustain us.
