(א) כִּי תֵשֵׁב לִלְחוֹם אֶת מוֹשֵׁל בִּין תָּבִין אֶת אֲשֶׁר לְפָנֶיךָ. (ב) וְשַׂמְתָּ שַׂכִּין בְּלֹעֶךָ אִם בַּעַל נֶפֶשׁ אָתָּה. (ג) אַל תִּתְאָו לְמַטְעַמּוֹתָיו וְהוּא לֶחֶם כְּזָבִים. This morning (11/3/22), in our morning Mishlei shiur, we began by developing one of our own ideas which bridged nicely into Saadia Gaon's explanation. We then read Rabbeinu Yonah's commentary and compared and contrasted the two approaches in terms of methodology.
