אִישׁ בְּלִיַּעַל כֹּרֶה רָעָה וְעַל [שְׂפָתוֹ] (שפתיו) כְּאֵשׁ צָרָבֶת: This evening (3/17/24), in our Monday Night Mishlei shiur, we revisited one of Mishlei’s lesser-known archetypes: the bliyaal. We had been working with a specific translation for the past few years but discovered a couple more tonight. To our surprise, these turned out to be more unified than they initially seemed. We developed a few ideas of our own and explored a couple more from the meforshim.
