כֹּל פָּעַל י"י לַמַּעֲנֵהוּ, וְגַם רָשָׁע לְיוֹם רָעָה: This evening (7/15/24), in our Monday Night Mishlei shiur, we - another small summer crew - analyzed an anomalous pasuk about (wait for it) the purpose of the universe (maybe?) and the purpose of the rasha. We developed one totally original approach, then learned the commentaries of the Meiri, Rabbeinu Yonah, Rambam (!), and Rav Hirsch. It was quite interesting to see a philosophical/theodical topic taken up in Mishlei, which imbued the practical applications that emerged with a special gleam. https://rabbischneeweiss.substack.com/
